Creative Spark's Amazing Race
Come blaze the bike trails of Daniel Island looking for clues and
completing tasks to win the Amazing Race. Teams of four bicycle riders (consisting
of either four adults or mixed teams of at least one adult and children)
will ride the bike trails of Daniel Island in search of clues. Over three
hours, teams will follow clues over about a five mile course. At each
sponsor's stop they will have to complete a task to get the next clue. Cryptic
clues will challenge your sense of ingenuity and sense of humor as you
complete tasks ranging from art projects to relay races. Being able to eat a
lot of ice cream will be an advantage!
The race begins and ends at the Charleston Battery Soccer Stadium where
all the racers will enjoy a party sponsored by Moe's Southwest Grill
followed by Charleston Battery's opening night soccer match. Winning teams from
each division will win prizes donated by the event sponsors. Daniel Island
Mortgage is the event sponsor and pit stop sponsors include The
Bicycle and Outdoor Shoppe, Charleston Battery Soccer, Daniel Island Realty, Moe's
Southwest Grill, Dr. Mike Bannister, Island Eye Care, Prime Time
Fitness, Garvey Construction, Moo-na Lisa Ice Cream and the Daniel Island News.
Supporting sponsors include Wm. Iselin Co., Fisher Recycling,
Expressions Art and Subway on Daniel Island.
The Amazing Race will be on Sat., April 28 from 3 to 6PM with the party
and soccer game to follow. Team entries are $90 – PrimeTime has two team entries that are up for grabs!
