Meredith holds nationally recognized certifications
aas an Aerobics Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Trainer of Special Populations, as well as a bachelors degree from Furman University and a Masters degree from the University of South Carolina. An avid runner, she competes in everything from 5K’s to marathons.

Meredith crosstrains by cycling, practicing yoga, weight-lifting, and teaching PrimeTime Spin at her studio. She resides with her husband Mark, his son Connor, two cats, and squirrel Huckleberry on Daniel Island.

 
 
 

 

Since 1992, Meredith Nelson has been combining her extensive fitness background with her counseling skills to help people overcome their personal limitations—physical, psychological, and psychiatric.

With a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and extensive experience in physical fitness, Meredith offers her guidance and assistance in helping people design appropriate programs geared towards overall wellness. Her experience has been quite varied and began when she worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for individuals with disabilities. Her career also took her to Trident Technical College where she served as a counselor and advisor to students with disabilities.

Her hobby and interest in physical fitness led to the establishment of PrimeTime Fitness in 2000, as a way to utilize her experience and expertise and help others reach their fitness and wellness goals. Meredith now specializes in physical fitness for special populations, and offers her services to people with various disabilities, including stroke, cancer, orthopedic limitations, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, heart disease, diabetes, and more.
